I first fell in love with “I Am the Summertime” when I heard it in the American Pie film back in 1999! For years I couldn’t find it at digital retail under the artist name, Bachelor Number One. Upon doing some research I discovered Bachelor Number One was really one guy, Scot Sax who now lives in my city Nashville, TN. Yes it’s a small world.
Philadelphia pop artist Scot Sax knows his way around a pop song. He cut his teeth in the music industry as both a solo act and member of Wanderlust and Feel. A brilliant songwriter, Sax has composed many songs, most recognizably the Grammy-winning Tim McGraw and Faith Hill duet ‘Like We Never Loved At All.’ He’s also netted countless TV credits, with song placements in shows like “Ghost Whisperer,” “NCIS,” “CSI: NY” and “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”
