NEVER RELEASED UNTIL NOW….LISTEN TO JOHNNY CASH “SHE USED TO LOVE ME A LOT”

Not long ago John Carter Cash uncovered the master tapes for an album his father, Johnny Cash,  recorded in the early 1980s but never released. The album called, Out Among the Stars, dropped this week and features duets with June Carter Cash and Waylon Jennings.

“She Used to Love Me a Lot” is the lead single from this album and a song that was first released by country music artist David Allan Coe in December 1984. The song peaked at number 11 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. It was written by Dennis Morgan, Charles Quillen, and Kye Fleming.

What Johnny Cash version do you like better? Or do you prefer David Allen Coe singing the song? Listen to all 3 below!
