Podcast Disclaimer
Bands Under the Radar (BUTR) is a music podcast featuring mostly artists that are flying under the radar.
Each BUTR podcast is available to download as one large mp3 file via iTunes or directly from this website.
I try to announce each artist's name during song intros and extros. Individual songs cannot be downloaded.
I encourage listeners to buy the music they hear and like on BUTR. Plus I link to the artists website and create iMixes if their song is available for purchase on iTunes.
My only intention is to promote good music to people who may not have the time or resources to discover new music on their own. I am not making any money from this website. The few donations I get help cover some of my bandwidth costs.
I really believe podcasting exposes people to new music and downloading a music podcast is not the equivalent of downloading individual songs or albums for free.
If there is a song that you feel I should not have played in my podcast please email me at: Kami.Knake@gmail.com and I will address your concerns immediately and remove the track if necessary.
Please support podcasting. I believe it can only help and not hurt artists.
Thanks!
Kami

I absolutly agree. I've got to know lots of artists on your show and on other shows, which otherwise would be very difficult for me to discover. Keep it up Kami!

Absolutely agree with you Kami.
I don't have time to find all of this music on my own. I look forward to every one of your Podcasts and subsequently PURCHASED music that I would never have heard before. My only complaint is that I usually have to wait until the music is officially released here in North America (Artic Monkeys took forever) - and now I can't wait until BellX1 is released over here.
Keep going! Love your podcast.
Eagerly awaiting new music in Canada!!!

Much the same as the previous comments. I've discovered lots of fantastic new bands, and other bands I'd never heard of. Keep up the good work KK.

I agree. I'm SO appreciative of podcasts like this one. I don't have time to be searching everywhere for new music and my area gets NO shows at all. I actually ordered R. Star's cd after listening to this podcast and I have The Daylights' cd already. I also plan on getting CD's by Bell X1,Gabe Dixon Band and Mute Math (I have the EP already). These bands need your support so if you like them get off your ass and purchase the CD!!!!

This is a really great site that I just found out about today! I definitely agree that podcasts could go a long way in raising awareness about bands you would otherwise never hear. Myspace is also really great for that sort of thing. Keep up the awesome work!

Good work Kami:
I look forward to each podcast. I love the music you play.
Of course, being this far from the US it is difficult to get this music, so I keep listening to my archive of podcasts. Your Cover issue was great!.

Hey
My two cents all support the above and your statement. These products can only help but promote music. As our lives get bussier the things we would like to do like listen to cd's all day at a store seem immposible. This way I tap into someone who explores music that i am interested in and I buy the cd's as a result. You take some of the work out of searching but still give me the feeling of having found something off of my own accord. Keep going.
